# Currency & yield

## What currencies can I use on the platform?

You may convert and deposit EUR and USD. All funds are converted to EURC or USDC (Circle's stablecoins) for yield generation.

## Is there any FX risk in Byzantine Prime EUR products?

No. We hedge 100% of your EUR exposure, so you're protected from EUR/USD fluctuations.

## When do I start earning returns?

Immediately upon deposit. There's no waiting period.

## What's the difference between insured and uninsured products?

* **ByzPrime EUR (insured) / ByzPrime USD (insured):** Lower APY, but your principal is protected by institutional insurance against technical failure
* **ByzPrime EUR / ByzPrime USD:** Higher APY, secured by overcollateralised lending (no insurance policy)

Both products offer instant liquidity.
