Strategy layer & infrastructure layer - Explain Like I'm 5

Restaking is a technically complex and increasingly fragmented investment primitive.

Meet the infrastructure layer

The infrastructure layer is the entirety of restaking protocol integrations of the Byzantine protocol.

Its big value-add: Extremely easy restaking composability. No matter how convoluted or unique the underlying restaking protocol's mechanics are, the infrastructure layer includes a connector to connect that protocol to the Byzantine vault.

Meet the strategy layer

While the infrastructure layer makes it easy to connect to the different restaking options, the strategy layer allows users to bundle any selection of these options and deploy them as a vault.

The strategy layer describes the entirety of Byzantine strategy vaults. Participation is 100% permissionless - both for stakers and vault creators.

It standardises the point of interaction with restaking into the Byzantine vault. Platforms, protocols, or DAOs need only integrate it once and can access all restaking options going forward.
