Vault Configuration Guide

Here is a guide to choose the configuration of vault that matches your needs.

1. Choose your underlying

There exist 2 major families of vaults, depending on their underlying :

  • Single Protocol Vaults, that sit on top of a single restaking protocol.

  • Cross Protocol Vaults, that aggregate several underlying restaking protocols in a single place.

2. Native or not ?

  • In a Native vault, the staker will be able to deposit native ETH, that will be first staked, via Beacon Chain Validators, before being restaked, via Restaking Operators.

  • In a standard ERC-20 Vault, a staker can deposit any restakable ERC-20 token, including LSTs, Bitcoin derivatives... that is going to be restaked. The staking though is not handled internally.

As you may have figured out, some vault configurations are not available yet, and will be released in upcoming versions.

3. Define the rest of the parameters

Once you have chosen which vault configuration suits you best, you will find a detailed Creation Walkthrough in the dedicated sub-section.

During the process, you will have to set a series of other parameters, specific to the vault, that are described in the following section.

You will also have to attribute different roles that will be in charge of several tasks during vault lifecycle, that are described in the section right after.
