In this case, “Base” is defined as the Federal Funds Rate for USD-stablecoin-denominated products and the ECB rate for EUR-stablecoin-denominated products. Note that Byzantine Prime does not include any T-bills or other traditional finance products - the Base rate is simply used as a benchmark.
